The Inasmuch House

CCRWA InasmuchAn ongoing project of the CCRWA is providing much needed items for The Inasmuch House (IAMH). As described by its staff, the IAMH is a way for an often-neglected demographic (women and children) of the homeless to receive vital care and services. These women and children are involved in classes that teach life-skills such as budgeting, time management, how to be a good tenant and much more. The Inasmuch House has added a new, much needed element to their temporary housing opportunities, quarters designed for a family unit, including the father.

Inasmuch ItemsRecently, CCRWA members provided needed items like bed linens, blankets and small pieces of furniture for a room that is part of an adjoining suite available for mothers with children. This room sleeps four and is the focus of CCRWA’s most recent effort at IAMH. As part of our ongoing project CCRWA members are currently collecting books for the IAMH’s library. Requested topics are self help, cooking, home improvement and reference books.

Inasmuch ItemsElaine Hunsacker, from the Haven, in expressing her overwhelming appreciation for CCRWA’s donations, commented

“Now the room is very welcoming, cozy, and home like. Very much the type of environment needed to help a family recover.”

CCRWA at InasmuchChristmas was big last year and this year grew even bigger. Our goal this year is to provide for 58 men, women and children in our Christmas giving efforts at Inasmuch House.

We could certainly use your help!
